Patrick believes in the power of imagery to effect change in those who view it. Over the years, he has explored how the synergy of photography and design can be used to promote, inform, and enlighten viewers with a simple yet powerful message.

In 2000, Patrick took on the role of content manager and visual designer for SAN Valley Systems and later Startust.com. The latter of the two went public and was soon acquired at which point he took the opportunity to return to school.

While studying both design and photography at San Jose State University, Patrick was elected as PR officer of the San Jose State Photo Guild, where he helped build the club from an organization of just 3 members to over 20.

During his last semester at SJSU, Patrick began work as a senior technical writer for SonicWALL, where he made an art out of taking very complex messages and condensing them into a comprehensive yet easy to understand form. Using textual design, illustration and photography together, he helped SonicWALL build a class-leading set of end-user documentation, garnering accolades from both the industry press and user-base.

Currently, Patrick holds a B. A. in Art with a concentration in Graphic Design and minor in Photography from San Jose State University.

Apart from his work in the visual arts, Patrick continues to enjoy performing arts. Playing both flute and guitar since age 12, he continues with these passions today as a performer and writer/arranger.
