Below are some of my favorite photography Websites. These links are either to professional organizations or to some of my photographer friends who I believe exhibit talents that are complimentary to mine. In other words: we all have our own style of photography and my style may not be for everyone, so I'd like to offer some quality alternatives and resources for you.

Friends + Colleagues

www.joshhires.com - Josh Hires is good friend of mine and a great event photographer with a very animated personality.

www.kmizushima.com - Not a photographer, but an artist just the same. Kohei Mizushima is a percussion arranger and instructor. He writes award-winning pieces for large percussion ensembles, drum corps and marching bands.

www.krystlebeauty.com - Krystle Katen transforms models into whatever I want them to be. She has a wonderful eye for color and aesthetics and is my primary makeup artist for shoots in the S.F. bay area.

www.rkyphotography.com - Raymond Yeung is a friend and colleague of mine who takes a uniquely stylized and artful approach to making imagery.

www.thetiniestbird.com - Wei Hwu is a witty and innovative photographer with one foot in the vintage camp. She currently creates some really cool looking cards using cyanotype and other alternative printing processes.

Gear / Tricks and Tips

B&H Photo / Video - These guys are pretty much the best online store to buy gear from. And if you happen to find yourself in NYC, check out their massive retail store!

Keeble and Shucat - The S.F. Bay Area photographers' favorite gear store. They can be a little snooty, but they stock nearly EVERYTHING.

DP Review - Although they don't really review lenses, DP is a great resource for digital camera research.

AmericanFrame.com - These guys are an amazing online frame shop. I started using them because they are very resonably priced, but the quality is so excellent and consistent that I pretty much buy all my frames / mats / plex exclusivley through them. No, they didn't pay me.
